Dr. Papathanasiou received his Diploma in Chemical Engineering from NTUA in 1985, his MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary (1987) and his PhD from McGill University (1991) in Canada. He is currently Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Thessaly in Greece. Prior postings include Chemical Engineering at the University of South Carolina, USA (1997-2008), Unilever Lecturer in Process Engineering at Imperial College, London, UK (1992-1997), Director’s Post-Doctoral Fellow at Los Alamos National Laboratory, USA (1991-1992) and Research Scientist at ALCAN Intl. R&D Center in Kingston, Canada.
